Okay, I have looked into the Chevrolet performance motors, the problem I run into is I'm running the US Quick I transmission that needs a TPS on the carb. I've found TPS kits for edelbrock and holly carbs but haven't found squat for the carbs on the GM performance motors. I was really wanting to get a drop in motor, fully assembled, timed and ready to roll.
Overall its not going to be a tow rig, and a lot of the C30's in the 80's came with small blocks that produced like 230HP lol. I don't see how a 320HP, 385ft lbs of torque blueprint 355 or 383 would be a "dog" lol
