Like $4300. The 355 from blueprint runs about $3k and all you add is a water pump and balancer. thats definitely in my price range. Any more than that i'm just wasting money and might as well keep the 6.5, remember my 6.5 has a cracked block.

The GM warrantee only covers their 350 in a 1 ton truck if you get the L31 long block, ($2990) already looked into it. And that is just a longblock with no intake, distributor, carb, etc, etc. Plus they use stock replacement parts, so for around $3500 you're getting 250HP.

It says at the bottom (under 8600GVW) If i put that in my truck the warrantee is void.

Plus i've still got another $1000 in parts to make that a run. I'd be shocked if Jegs and Summit would continue to sell blueprint motors if they were trash.... ATK? yeah i get you there, but even them, why would summit continue to sell their products? (playing devils advocate)

I've done tons of reading and from what i've heard about the GM motors is yeah, you're getting all GM parts, but you're going to end up with about 240 HP in a stock replacement 350. I've heard some good things about blueprint, GM can't be the only one making good crate motors.

Ok ok. I just put 2 and 2 together, figuring out that red 94 crew cab means no light duty engine. Good luck with your decision.

Yeah its a 1 ton. I talked to the summit tech guys and multiple ones have told me that any of the 350s with 4 bolt mains would be adequate. They only reccomended the GM crate reccomended for 8600 and over if i stuck with a GM 350. They also said the GM 383 would be adequate for it.

People put the $1500 goodwrench 350 (195HP) crate motors into K10's and K20's all the time so i know they can power a truck. mine isn't even 4x4 and will be driven primarily on the streets empty.

Have you looked into the HT383E sold by Chevrolet Performance? Also, all this non-sense about Blueprint engines being no good is bullshit in my personal experience. My buddy has a Blueprint 383 crate engine in his 84 Malibu. He has put over 100000 on the car is the motor swap, and it's still running strong.
