No, not without cutting up the circuit boards.I'm waiting until I have the time, I'm hopingthere's a jumper inside I can access that will allow me to split it in 2: half blinker, half running light.
The backup lights IMO aren't impressive. I was hoping for something better TBH.Oh, wondering how the backup lights are on them too. Cant wait for my set to come in. Ill worry about wiring later when theres more wiring info out there to go by.
If only I was that resourceful. I have this weird contradiction in my head - because I have heated mirrors stock, I have to replace it with such. I know.. makes zero sense.. don't ask. Electronics and wiring, and me, don't get along. So I'll either wait for power heated options on the 88-98 base, or go with the GMT800 style mirrors... unless there is K2XX style mirrors, with 88-98 base, with an 8 pin connection.
The 99-02 mirrors use the same 8-cavity plug as the late GMT400 with heated mirrors does. The pins will probably still have to be swapped. 03+ used an entirely different plug setup. You put your existing 8 pin onto the new mirrors regardless of what they come installed with. No cutting required.
Keep in mind the GMT400 and GMT800 use different version of a mirror switch and one function will be swapped, so basically up on the switch moves the glass down, and vice versa. There is no way around it short of swapping the entire mirror motor or putting a GMT800 switch in your truck.
Read the reply above about the mirror adjustment. You'll probably want to fully take the mirrors apart and put the motors in the correct respective mirror otherwise you are going to have one heck of a mirror adjustment mess for both.just ordered 2 sets of mirrors! the power old style ones for the base and the loaded k2xx with the 99-02 base, going to swap and sell other set.....shipped today, excited to see how they look
