will the 4.8 engine fit better than the 5.3 in a 98 sierra with air condition

if i put a 4.8l engine will the air conditioner compressor fit better in this truck as the 5.3l air conditioner compressor did not fit. i have 1998 gmc sierra regular cab and would like air conditioning, when i purchased it had the 5.3 vortec engine but no air conditioning as it did not fit, will the 4.8 engine fit with air conditioning?

Same ac setup.

You need something like this. A stock Vortec 350 a/c manifold hose and compressor.

Same as the 6.0, all the more reason to not waste your time with the 4.8.

Sure will. It will work on a 4.8/5.3 or 6.0L with truck accessory brackets. I believe it will even work on a 6.2.

Same as the 6.0, all the more reason to not waste your time with the 4.8.

4.8, especially with gen4 internals is not a waste with boost. Short stroke, long rod can take a ton of boost. No uncommon to see 4 digit horsepower and torque numbers on stock bottem ends.
