Just what the title says, I converted to a 14 bolt and life is good but i have WAY to much rear brake. The heavy half's and 3/4 tons have a different proportioning valve and I got one but I can't find it to change. This is way embarassing.

Right below the master cylinder. Just follow lines off the master cyl.

If you have a 95+ it's built in to the abs unit, if you have 88-94 it's right under the MC.

Since I have a '98, that means that the proportioning valve won't work, right? How does one reduce line pressures to the rear on the late model trucks?

you get a adjustable valve from summit or jegs and install it between the master and the abs unit

No B.S., This is really what everyone who goes 14 bolt on a 96+ truck has to do? What about finding a junk yard ABS unit for a 14 bolt? Will it work? Any additional stuff needed?

You could also get a proportioning valve from a heavy half with 4WABS. It just bolts onto the side of the ABS module.

Most people just leave as is, maybe your front brakes are just really tired.
