Where are these wires supposed to run?

Just discovered these 2 wires were spliced together and ran to the thermostat, my trucks been having alot of trouble with the CTS, just wondering if it could be causing it??


The wires are running out of the same heat shield wrap that the CTS plug in wires are, then the 2 wires are spliced into one wire, and grounded out at the top of the thermostat :hmm:, but shouldnt one be a ground and the other be a hot?

ground wires for the tbi and something else that i cant remember. very important and that is how they are supposed to run crimped together like that.

agreed, at least taped up lol.

my 88 is the same 2 ground wires on the t-stat or used to be. I put em back further on my intake now.
