Acids in rust converters tend to make the part rust later on. If you feel the need to use such products the is one that seemed to work pretty good. It's called Conquest. Back in the mid 80's I was working equipment maintenance on a gulf course and I used it to combat rot from fertilizer.

I would say for most who use the Klean Strip or Ospho, they are trying to stop the rust as soon as possible. What’s the alternative? Completely remove frame and strip to bare metal? That’s just unrealistic for most. If living with the consequences means you’ve stopped 95% of rust dead in its tracks and then monitor frame and touch up as needed, that’s a pretty good compromise.
Sure Conquest might be good, kinda becomes a best oil debate though.
