Service Engine Soon light came on today. Not sure if related to TBI mod... Out of town for a couple of days, will have to wait to see. If still on when I get back, gotta hit up advanced auto to have it read...

Advance more than likely can't read it since its OBD1 the ones around here only can read codes on 96+ could do the paperclip method, does the light go off or it on all the time?

Not trying to derail the thread, but what would he do if the light goes off? I have a service engine soon light that comes on and goes off after I turn the truck off.

unplug the battery cable for awhile plyug it back in to reset everything and see if it comes back on.

It does, seems like something throws a code after driving 10-15 minutes, then deletes it. Sometime the light goes off while I'm still driving, sometimes it stays on until I turn the truck off. But either way, the code seems random to me.

Same thing happened to my truck...wound up being an unplugged knock sensor and a bad coil.
