Could it be such a thing like your compressor clutch relay, or whatever that switch activates, is shorted out somewhere?

If that doesn't shine a light then perhaps the electrical fire after the magic smoke comes out will help!Here's a pic of where the module burned out this time after the fix (aka: glob to the left. The burned out path is linked to the ac switch on the module. Hopefully this will shine some light on my problem.
