In my experience do not waste your money on a ready lift. If your talking bout leveling keys I had them and they were nothing but a pain and stock keys will do the same just as good.

I personally would take those steps off and through them as far as I could in the bush, usually they are only good for holding debry close to the body causing rust. There are a lot better step bars on the market that not only look better, but function better too. I think you will still be ok with the larger tires and those boards, the 285/75R16's are 32.83 inches tall that gives you a diameter of 16.41 inches. I don't believe that from the center of the hub to the edge of your fenders is less then 17 inches so I think your ok, but I could be wrong best to measure it first.

I wasted money on keys....sent them back. Crank away. Just watch your bump stop clearance and cv angle and you will be fine. In my experience....If you stick with a stock wheel 285s work fine...if you are going to a x8 wheel stick with a 265. Just my .02

I have to disagree here, my 88 not even leveld 285/75R16 BFG A/Ts with 16x8 with 4 1/2" BS was my favorite setup on that truck and I have had 4 different sets of wheels and 5 different sets of tires on it sizes were 31x10.5R15, 265/75R16, 33x12.50R15 and 285/75R16 and the 285s fit the best

I was originally looking at a set of 265-70/R17's off of a 2008 HD.

That's what I'm running.
Stock (new) suspension.
