I think it's generally accepted that you can drop the rear 4" without the notch, although I've seen a few people say they had issues with suspension travel. Personally I'd say 3" or less if you don't want to do the notch.
Dont you have to cut sections of the bed floor out to notch? I wanted to use it for my mowing trailer. And i dont think ill be able to get a mower in it if i have a big hump in the bed lol
Edit: i thought about doing a 4 link and bags but then id have to have a compressor. Plus thats alot of work for a mowing trailer lol.
do you just have stock springs and a drop shackle? id love for the bed floor to be about 2-2.5 feet off of the ground.No clearance issues nor any suspension probs on mine with the 4" rear drop. And I've had some pretty hefty loads in the box. 2 complete '50's GM interiors, electric bench seats & all. (Damn heavy! Approx. 200 lb.s each, just for the fr. seats!) 800 lb.s total?
