Steering column interchangeability

Hey Guys,

I would like to add a tilt column to my truck & am wondering what vehicles are candidates from the boneyard for my 95 Sierra?

1995 to 2000 I believe

1995 and 1996 only. Those are the only years for one air bag. 1997 went to 2 air bags and the harness changes.

Ouch that limits me quite a bit.
So 95-96 Silverado, Suburban & Tahoe correct?

Yes. If your truck is a 1500 or LD 6 lug 2500.
If it's a 2500 8 lug(HD) or 3500, then you don't have to concern yourself with the airbag.....but you have to find one of those trucks with a tilt column!
They are out there though....

Then you're looking for a 95 or 96 half ton or 6 lug 2500, with the driver's side airbag. Tahoe, Yukon or Suburban would be good sources too. LT Burb or Tahoe will be well equipped and probably have a tilt column....
