Bad gas is not going set a code 22.Considering all the bull I've been going through diagnosing my idle issues, I'd seriously consider siphoning all the gas out of the tank to see if you have any bad separated gas. You may have other issue too, but I'd start with the fuel. Naturally if it is bad, you'll need to replace the filter. Using a clear 5 gallon water jug will let you inspect it.
Unplugg the TPS sensor plug and inspect it for deformed terminals. You can get a depinning tool at most auto parts stores for under $10 bucks. If the terminals are deformed it can cause your intermittent condition. It is highly unlikely that you got 3 defective TPS units.Im starting to wonder if its injectors or something. I might end up just sending it to MR. Car Wizard shop in Newton, KS. Im kinda at a loss. Im going to do some testing on the injectors later and see what i find.
Yeah I am guilty of responding to threads with out checking the date.Unfortunately it looks like Mr. Carlson's last visit to the forum was on
December 14th of last year? I was brewing up a reply having to do with
how the engineers designed the circuit to work within a specific range,
which is neat, because this way either a too high (+5v reference) or
too low (chafe/short to ground = 0v) reading will trip the appropriate
DTC code.
But then, after looking at the dates on the thread, on a hunch I checked
and unfortunately, no joy. Hope the OP discovered the root cause of the
out-of-bounds voltage being reported...and that it was a quick/affordable
fix.
FWIW -
Ha. me too!Yeah I am guilty of responding to threads with out checking the date.
