The speed sensor wiring got snagged on my front driveshaft while backing out of my driveway yesterday. On way to work I noticed the speedo wasn't working later discovered wires hanging from underneath...
Truck is a 91 GMC K1500 5.7 350 TBI reg cab, long bed with the 700r4
The wires are ripped/damaged at both sensors, the one that plugs into the top/drivers side sensor on the trans, and the the one the plugs into the sensor before the driveshaft.
In the photos below the connector has 3 plugs/outlets, but Everything I've found online only shows 2 plugs/outlets...
I'd have to take the sensors out to repair the wires (not much to work with) should I just replace them them both?
Anyone know if the sensors come with the harnesses?
Rock auto parts don't look like they match and prices are all over the place. Hate to spend potentially 100-200 bucks worth of stuff and play the return/guessing what fits game if I can help it!
Thanks...
JP

To clarify, I'm asking what these 2 sensors are, so I can figure out what connectors I need.
The one near the driveshaft looks like this abs sensor...

Thanks yes I've discovered so far that the vss is right behind the transfer case before the driveshaft. My plan is to replace that sensor as well as the connector.
What I'm still not sure about is what the vss connector is spliced into?
That is the part that actually got ripped out which runs to some other sensor on top of the transmission.
Trying to figure out what that sensor is and what wiring harness it needs.

This is my plan:
1) See if the harness on the top of the trans unplugs to get a better look at it
2) Tape/match all the old wires/plugs together to see what the old set up looks like
3) Use the old set up as a template to source what connectors are needed
4) Replace the VSS sensor (might as well)
5) Replace the unknown sensor on top of trans if possible?

Sorting through the spaghetti underneath the truck, and looking at the photos... below are my Notes so far:
* Speed Sensor (aka VSS) - ACDELCO 2132361 {#89054099} Gold / Professional
* Vehicle/ Output Speed Sensor Connector - ACDELCO PT3800 {#19368868} GM Original Equipment) - This is the 2 hole plug that goes into the VSS sensor?
OR
** ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Connector - ACDELCO PT2298 {#88862217} Professional - This looks like the same blue 2 hole plug that goes the the VSS sensor as well...also noticed this one was cheaper for some reason?
** 4WD Actuator Connector - ACDELCO PT2364 {#88862283} Professional - This looks like the same plug in the top of the trans?
OR
** Torque Converter Connector - ACDELCO PT143 {#12085533} GM Original Equipment - This also looks like the square white connector on the tops of the trans.
* * Turbine/ Input Speed Sensor Connector - ACDELCO PT2386 {#88862305} Professional - This a 2 ended Male plug - Not sure if needed?
** 4WD Disconnect Switch Connector - STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS S1593 {#12126453} - This is also a 2 ended Male plug...Not Sure if needed?
** 4WD Indicator Light Switch Connector - ACDELCO PT1910 {#88860465} Professional - This is the 3 hole Male plug that was ripped out...I think.
** Still haven't been able to find the 3 hole female plug that the above indicator light switch would plug into...

Too be continued...

All help appreciated!
