I hit a curb a ruined my wheel yesterday. I am running 285/75/r16 sized tires. I have a spare that is a 265/75/16. Can i run this different sized tire on the front axle with my front differential being okay? As long as i am in 2 wheel drive. Thinking about it, I believe it will be fine, but I want to make sure before i screw something up. Never have had to run different sized tires before. 1989 k1500.

It SHOULD be ok in the short run. I'd take it easy tho and drive it straight to a tire shop. The passenger side axle disconnects from the diff in 2wd

I will not hurt any thing as long as you do not engage 4wd.
