Rack and Pinion?

Me and my dad were talking today because im getting ready to put together my steering components this week. He mensioned me doing a rack and pinion setup... Anyone ever see this done on a OBS? I google it and found one truck with it... and it wasnt very clear on how he did it or anything.

Would love to do this!!! It would put an end to so many probs these trucks have with the steering.
I've asked around about this, too. Nothin' but blank looks, or 'it can't be done' statements.
