OOBS bench?

i wanted to know if an oobs bench will fit in an obs? i have a bench from an oobs that i reupholstered and i want to use it in my 88. i thought i read that its possible but i cant find the tread anymore

IIRC, the 1973/1987 trucks have a raised portion on the floor where the seat bolts to. On the 1988+ trucks there is like 6" of clearance under the seat (due to the rails) that I do not believe exists on the older ones. I would think if you could bolt the old seat to your OBS rails, you would be in good shape. Otherwise, it will require some fabricating.
