I have a 92 4.3 and a check engine light that reads the code for O2 sensor but it only comes on when the truck has been up to temp for about 10 minutes, turns off once it cools down, could it be wiring, bad sensor, or something else?

The ECM doesn't look for the O2 sensor until the engine gets up to operating temperature and goes into Closed Loop. Then, if it doesn't get a change in feedback within 30 seconds, it'll throw a code.

You need a scanner to look at your O2 feedback and cross counts, as well as other components.

Yup. Scan tool needed.

How old is the sensor? Any O2 sensor with more than 50K miles is suspect. They "can" work longer than that, but as they age they respond slower and slower until they're nearly useless.
