Well no G80 in the glove box.... but I def have a limited slip of some kind, must have put something in when they rebuilt it last year.

Is changing the diff fluid like a tranny, where if you don't do it after a while you shouldn't?

Ok so I looked up my vin on compnine and I didn't see any mention of a limited slip or G80. I suppose that means that I have a normal open carrier right? I don't have the z71 package I've got the Z82 towing package so maybe they usually put them on the z71 trucks? just a thought. I don't suppose that they figured there was much need for a limited slip with a towing option in mind...

So how does this government locker or "gov bomb" work if you'd explain it. I know how some different types of differentials work but I've never heard of this one.
