Hi everybody, Phil from New Castle PA. I was recently given my dad's old '91 Scottsdale, RCSB 2wd, 4.3/auto, I think it's Crimson Red with red interior. Dad bought it new and I took my drivers test in it when it was a couple months old. I'll be keeping this one forever, so I'll be doing a lot of work to it the next few years. I'll try to remember to take pics, might even do a few write-ups. I'm a professional mechanic so I can handle it, but I'll probably have a few model-specific questions. I plan to restore the body/interior as stock as possible, but with a Vortec 454 and upgraded suspension and drivetrain. I'm considering starting with a new frame and building it from the ground up as I'd still have less cash in it than a new one. I'll get it one piece at a time, and it's gonna cost me a mess of dimes.
