While 50u is the paint code the WA# is a little more accurate when it comes to mixing paint and the code most paint jobbers would need to pull up a formula.
WA-8624, the L or U prefix is only there to designate lower and upper colors. The 50U designation has been used for a few decades and might cover a few different variations.
