Newbie
I bought a 88 stepside a little over a year ago that had good potential. I wanted a truck with better performance than the ZR2 blazer I was driving.
Good frame and only a little rust on the body (cab corners, rocker panels, fenders). It has a Mr. Goodwrench crate motor 350 with Holly port injection, MSD ignition and a 5 speed. I decided to fix it up better than new. The build begins....
Everything came off the front
Core support was a mess too and needed to be opened up
Took the bed off to get at the frame in the back
Power washed the frame, removed all the lines, gas and brake, applied a hard glaze to seal it then a rubber undercoat to protect it.
