Continuing with the interior work, I had decided to upgrade the sterio a little bit next. I didn't need or really want anything too big or loud, I hate the look of the trucks with 3 giant subs in the middle of the seat, and anymore I don't even turn it up all the way except maybe a few times a year, so I went with a modest 1000w 2channel amp and a 1000w 12" kicker comp rt subwoofer. It turned out to be much louder than expected in the small single cab. The hardest part of the job was building the box to fit behind the seat and in between my two 6x9's and also have enough airspace for it to work well. Even that was a simple matter though. I built the box all the way across the back, using one side of it to mount the amp and also to get a little bonus airspace. It worked out pretty good.
