Pic of the swap parts... Engine is now completely assembled, manifold studs and bolts for the alternator mount are on the way.

you dont want one of those, they rot out really bad really fast, i saw a 04 with no rockers left, crazy how bad that design had rust issues

I've looked at it... I don't see cutting it out, rust proofing it and welding in a section of thin walled rectangular tube as either difficult or a poor solution. Hit it with bedliner, good to go.

I found one about an hour away, and the rust over the rear wheels is still all under where fender flares would cover as well.
