1997 ecsb, 5.0 4l60e, 4x4. The truck in my sig.
Its almost like 4x4 is trying to engage. Its just when taking off, not coming from tranny, I feel it in my steering wheel pulling right. It goes away while in 4wd. Possible bad acuator or bad cv? What are you all thinking?

A bad front wheel bearing/hub assembly can cause for a howling sound like it is in 4wd. Normally a bad CV axle will make a snapping sound. Jacl the front of truck up and check for play, then spin the wheel and see if you can hear the sound.

This a gear clashing sound. Wont do it up steep hills. Its sounds like when your grinding gears in a manual transmission only louder.
