Long tubes never bolt up to the restrictive stock Y pipe. Any v8 needs long tube headers and dual 2.5” exhaust

This horse has been beat to death. They don't necessarily need duals, and one size pipe does not fit all. The need a big enough exhaust to breathe.

I've heard that they often don't bolt up to the stock pipes either, that they hang lower so you might have more work to do than you expect.

it would be getting a full exhaust so that shouldn’t be a problem

Or block off plate, which is what I did.

It'll run, but yes, a tune is advised.

Seeing how the tune is worth more power than the exhaust yeah, I hope you get it tuned.
