Led 3rd brake light

Went to put in an aftermarket led 3rd brake light and the light is always lit up unless the interior lights are on. Then it goes off. Cargo lights function like normal. This is the same light I had on my old truck but it was there when I bought it. I'm guessing I need a resistor in there but what wires? And are the bed lights supposed to come on when you open the door? I can't remember from my old truck and both bulbs in the factory one are burnt out.

Mine was plug and play. Guess you need to get a meter and a wiring diagram out and start troubleshooting.

My meter is currently down but I did get it figured out. On the the brake light itself I disconnected the yellow wire and now everything functions normal. It was supposed to be plug and play.
