LED 3rd brake light stuck on when plugged in.

Hey guys, I just bought an LED 3rd brake light off of eBay and when I went to install it the light became stuck on even with the key out and the lights off. The cargo light works when turned on and everything, I got it to turn off by turning the truck on and pressing the brake; when released it turned off. But then once I turned the truck off again the light came back on. Any ideas?

Truck is a 98 c1500 ecsb

Did the factory one work properly before you took it off? If so then I'd guess you just got a bad LED assembly from eBay. Got a link to the one you bought?

I run the smoked Anzo LED 3rd brake light on my red truck and I'm very happy with it.
