Leaf spring?

Are short bed and long bed rear leaf springs diffrent in length..In theroy you would think so but ive been told they are not and just wanted to clarify before i buy a new set off a short bed for my 88..

Yes they are different, and so are burb spring's as compared to a shortbed truck.
