junkyard brake upgrade ideas?

Most diesels had them stock, if not all. Kinda hard to pipe for vaccuum with an engine that doesn't have any sort of throttle plate, and the vac pumps on them aren't heavy duty enough to run everything AND a brake booster.

You might need bigger brakes for those oversized tires. The stock brakes are barely good enough for the stock setup.

Either upgrade like what some were talking further up with 3/4 ton(k2500) brakes, or get aftermarket brakes. Basically you need larger diameter rotors with a larger braking surface, and a heavier duty master cylinder.

Yerp yerp, I'd double check fitment or talk to the yard to make sure you can return if it doesn't fit right.
