junkyard brake upgrade ideas?

looking for an alternative to my stock brakes. i hate my drums, yes they serve the purpose decently but i want a little better. i heard of someone swapping over nbs front spindles to accomodate bigger rotors and calipers, but wasnt too sure. so what can i do for the front and back brakes to upgrade them from drums to bigger and better without spending an arm and a leg?

I have the first gen SSBC rear brake kit on my truck and it uses eldorado calipers Ive see a few threads on guys making up there own kits http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum/...les/88148-8-5-10-bolt-rear-disc-diy-swap.html

whats the difference between the rears in these 1500's and the ss camaros? i know the thirdgens maros which are 8 or 10 bolt i think can have ss's put on them. i just wonder if any of that is true for the trucks

Im runnig the stock master cylinder but I plan on ripping out all the abs and going with something like this
