Intake thumb screw and strange wire

On my 96 5.7, I just recently changed the iac. And that solved idle issues.the only problem I have is there is some white wire with a strange connector that I don't know where it goes. What is this wire? I popped it in wherever it seemed to go. But I was wondering how far in does it go. It doesn't seem to make any connections?

Also I am missing the I take thumb screw, the thing that tighten down the back of the intake box when it goes over the throttle body? Anyone have a spare or know where to buy one?

The white wire I believe is just a lock. The thumb screw I found on the ground at the junkyard and they gave it to me for free. The dealer might just give you one too if they have it.
