I’m looking for something other than the plastic covers that come stock. My question is will a 7.5” baby moon cover work in the recess of the hub? Will the older dog dish covers work? It’s a factory steel rim of a 90 c1500 Sierra SL.

If your wheel has the nubs for wheel covers yes if not no. I know my 98 will not except wheel covers. I just bought a set of wheels from a van that will take wheel covers just need to sandblast the ugly off and paint.

The trucks from the 50's had clips on the inner part of the rim that held the caps on. You can buy the clips and either weld or screw them to the rims to hold the old style hub caps. The van wheels I got have the hub caps you showed in the square body pic. The older ones are smaller diameter.
