Pretty big one. Best route may be to use the heads from your Vortec (if you can) and keep everything Vortec from that point on. Not sure what other changes would need to be made.

I would just find another vortec motor and drop it in and be done with it. Trying to go to TBI from a vortec would require extensive wiring work. Also you would be downgrading in terms of technology and power.
