How much MPG do you usually get?

Ive seen some half tons get 16mpg in the city I was thinking of getting a k2500 longbed dumping the GM tbi and putting something like MSD atomic fitech or holley Sniper and putting a nice 400 SBC in it

I think the 400 is going in the wrong direction if mileage is the concern. lol

Mine has went up since posting in What are ya'll getting for mpg?

I have a 1990 K2500 ECSB with a 5.7L, a 700R4 transmission, 3.73 gears, and 245/75/16 tires.

I have averaged 13.3 mpg over 2,920.6 miles since I got the truck. I log each tank here: Chevy K2500 Fuel Economy Log.

about 11 on the highway, can touch 15 if i use cruise control.
around town I don't even want to guess.

I'm not worried either, I get around 14 to 15 mpg and 17 mpg on long trips. Will probably get 11 to 14 mpg when I swap my axles to the 3/4 w/ 4:10's. 3/4 tons will probably get around that, 11-14 mpg. It will be lower than half-tons, that's all I know.
