high RPM start 5.7L 350

I started my truck up today and it ran up to 2000 RPM and then died down to 900 in about 30 seconds. It also goes up to 1100 when shifting from reverse to 1st. I drove it yesterday and it didn't act like that I just don't get what could have gone wrong. The battery died overnight because I have my diver side door panel off and forgot to disconnect the battery.

Sometimes after the battery is disconnected the computer needs to relearn the idle. After driving it for a while, it should relearn and be back to normal.

That's what must have happened because I drove it tonight and she's idling better.
