my dads got and 89 c1500 with the 350 and 700r4
over the past year we have had replaced alot of stuff due to tracking down a fuel injector failure
right now the truck it running really good but there is a high idle of 1000 rpms
yesturday i took a tech1 scan tool and was able to watch alot of stuff that was going on the
i found the tps was set at .60 v instead of .50 so i change it and was able to drop it to .52v but no change in idle
we then tried spraying carb and choke cleaner around the vac lines and tb but no change
there was 1 code that was getting thrown and it was code 32 egr problem
i took the line off the tb that went to the egr solenoid and put my finger over the hole in the tb, that didn't make a difference
what else can we check on this before it goes back in the shop again?
