I have a 1997 gmc sierra 1500, with the electronic 4x4. Does anyone know which tires spin in the front when you have it engaged in 4x4 high, as well as 4x4 low? If only one is there a way to get the other one to spin as well.

The front diff should lock automatically when you put it into 4wd iirc

whichever one has less traction will spin. to get both to spin, you'll need to put in a locker of some sort.

you dont on a 1500, nobody makes one for the 8.25 ifs, its too weak for it

I've got two spare cases with 3.42 gears sitting around and I'm REALLY tempted into trying this. I won't be running very large tires on it though so I might not even be able to break it, anybody else willing to try it out if they had a spare case? Kind of a PITA to get that IFS diff back up in the truck though...
