I have an 99 k2500. Yes I know it is not from 88-98 but it is still the obs with a 5.7. My frame is rotted by the bumpers and I already have a frame for an 05 cateye. Both are already 4wd extended cabs. I was wondering how much modification would need to take place. In order to make them mate on the newer frame.

If this was even remotely easy to do, a LOT of frame swaps would be happening on this forum. Been around these trucks a lot longer than I'd like to admit (print magazines, internet, etc), and I've never even seen or heard of one being done before.

There is this one...

https://www.gmt400.com/threads/09-escalade-to-95-yukon-total-conversion.47661/

But it's a GMT400 Tahoe swapped onto a GMT900 Escalade frame.
Well I certainly am impressed by that!!!! That's a lot of work done, under some horrible circumstances.
But again... Ain't nothing easy about it. But that's the best thing about this hobby/lifestyle. Hell....my buddy is almost ready to take his LS swapped mid 60's F100 and put it on a dodge chassis and 6x6 it. Why, because someone told him he couldn't. Same reason he put Lambo doors on a friggin Saturn.
