Footwell lights

my footwell lights have started coming on with the headlights. What could possibly cause this. 1993 Chevy 1500 standard cab

Mine will come on when I turn the dash light control up past full bright. That control is part of the headlight switch module on my truck, so maybe there's an issue in there?

X2, make sure the knob by your headlight switch isn't rotated all the way up.

It's not rotated all the way up. That would cause dome light to be on also. It's just the footwell lights that come on when I turn the headlights on
