Flexplate installation direction 1997 5.7 vortec

Hi,

Replacing my tranny and went to go do the rear main seal.

Put the flexplate back on and went to mount up the new tranny when torque convertor doesn't move right.

Does the side with the weight on the flexplate face the transmission or the engine?

The weight should be on the engine side. If the TC is not spinning freely, you may need to turn it some more to get it to seat properly into the spindle on the tranny.

Thanks turns out I'm an idiot and have it installed backwards. The TC was getting caught in between the weight. Gonna go swap it back into the correct position.
