Hello y’all just purchased a 1998 K1500 4x4 Z71 . It’s in rough shape: motor is blown, CV axle boots are ripped, tires are from 2018 with lots of dry rot, lower control ball joint came undone during the tow. My goal for this truck is to make it into a ranch truck.

Nothing like going ball$ deep right off the hop!! Lol
Once resurrected, it will make a heck of a workhorse for you. Treat it good and it won't let you down.

There's a bunch of us Texans on here, whereabouts are you from?
My crew cab was a farm/ranch truck, but it seems to have led a more gentle life than yours. Now it hauls when I need it to, and gets daily driven in the Houston area.

looks like a good project to me the bad front end parts and blown engine is a bummer but the rest of the truck has lots of potential in that truck I think it will come out good for you and you will have a great truck once you get it fixed
