monday morning my yuk stoped running while sitting at a light and i was able to coast down to a parking lot (thanks to the )police that stopped
traffic i popped the hood and seen smoke what the (hell) had a small fire at the coil i just rplaced the wires 2 weeks ago i know i didn't have
any wires getting pinched. well got the yuk towed home and went to the jnk yrd got a coil ,wire harness, spark plug wie and the plastic valve

cover vent tube $5.00 back on the road any ideas what caused this ?

Just curious, did you crimp or solder the wires? If you crimped 'em, and did it again, I'd take it back apart and solder it. Crimping the wires can cause too much resistance, which could lead to the wires getting too hot.

every thing was original coil, and wiring i replaced the coil with the msd coil,and msd sap & rotor
