engine overload?

Make sure you get the sensor you need, there's two of them on the Vortec engines. One for the signal to the PCM and one for the gauge cluster. Pretty sure the one that sends the signal to the PCM is the one closest to the thermostat.

im curious on this because i have no lights or black smoke and temp gauge seams to read correctly.. other then that it does sound like a possibility. but yes was going to do the one that sends to pcm

Coolant temp sensor. Could be faulty and telling the computer the engine is a different temp than what it is. Runs great when cold because it's running more fuel through it.


well i guess the tech checked this out to make sure it was working properly and it checked out good... so im back to square one and not sure what to try next
