I wonder what Danny will do given this idea...... let's find out :cool:

Those are lit via the same material that's in the glow gauge overlay (also requires a power inverter) Which has a short lifespan.

Can this be duplicated?
Sure
Is this something I would consider making?
Possibly.

I could tell ya how to do it though.

* Billet kick plate $110.04

* Lexan sheet $?
* LEDs $15
* Lexan sheet CNC'd to Bowtie size $?
* Affix LEDs to the outside edge (out of sight, underneath) of Bowtie
* Attach power source to dome circuit
* Enjoy

If someone made something like that, I'd buy it! I 'may' have access to a CNC mill, but idk if I could fab up the lexan on there or not.

alright so I was thinking of either stock sill and cutting or a bent steel sill and cutting (waterjet) and using a lexan sheet with that stick on stuff for like privacy windows to diffuse the light and then use LED's. the cost would be pretty expensive though. BUT if I can get my hands on a spare set of sills i'll see if I can make them work.. I think the stock ones would look best.

Using the stick sills would be easier to work with and help keep cost down too I bet

think of the things you could do besides the threshold plates.

leds in the floor or under the seats etc. hooked up to the light circuit on the doorjamb switch. Just like lights for your step bars etc.
