Does anyone know what this curved piece is for? It came with my double din bezel

I'm sure it's for something but probably not. They may have made to many of them and instead of getting there ass chewed they just shipped them out with every purchase

It’s a jig/fixture to drill holes to relocate the HVAC control. The double DIN requires moving the HVAC downward roughly 1/2” from memory.
