Diesel Cluster a bolt-in deal on a Gas truck?

I wanted to swap out my gas dash cluster for a diesel cluster. I know they are physically the same and probably have the same plug for the dash.

Does anyone know if this will just work or is there something that I need to change?

I have seen a gas cluster put in a diesel, so I beleive it will work, but I haven't actaully done it.

I think it will work too, just didn't want to drop the $180 at the dealer for a new cluster or $80 on ebay if it wouldn't work.

I checked my shop manual and it looks like they both use the same terminals for the same functions but the diesel has 2 more for the water in fuel and the wait to start so I think it should work fine.

I think I'll just pull the trigger and let everyone know.
