Either I am horrible with my search or maybe this has not been discussed.
I have a 1993 K1500 Silverado, working on new dash and interior right now.
Originally the gear indicator in the gauge cluster seemed dead, always showing in park. I figured something was broken and it would be a tough fix.
So yesterday I pulled the gauge cluster out and there is a steel cable leading from the cluster to the gear shifter that would move the gear indicator gauge. When I pull the wire it moves properly and it appears to be attached somewheee in the steering column but kind of just comes out of the steering column sleeve at a random place.
Does anyone have a routing diagram am i missing a roller or something to set it at the right place to work? Any help would be appreciated as it seems like a simple fix.
Thanks in advance
Jeremy
