Hey guys, new here and i'd like to say this place looks intersting! Just joined yesterday and I've already spent a few hours reading. Got a question...I've got a,new to me,1995 Chevy Silverado Z71 with a stock AM/FM Cassette. I like to put in a newer (stock) AM/FM CD player. What years do I look for and will the wiring harness be the same?
Thanks in advance!

I haven't done or seen the swap done, but it LOOKS like it would be easy enough. Scroll down, eventually you will see our head units (with the cassette player). Below that is the slave CD player (that's how our trucks came with CD players). Then, below that, there's a unit that looks almost exactly like ours, but with a CD player instead of the cassette. Looks like it came on late 90's blazers, S10's, and some of the cars.

As for putting it in, I think it would just be a matter of swapping out the brackets (unless they're the same), and checking some wiring diagrams to see how to wire them up. I don't think it would be too bad. I'll see if I can find some diagrams.

Here's an ebay link to the unit I'm talking about. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-S10-B...r_Audio_In_Dash_Receivers&hash=item19de58f52a
