Assuming a stock 235/75R15, any width of 22", 30 series tire from 235 to 305 will be a good match as far as diameter goes, assuming that the tires are well matched to the wheel width wise, IE no 275's on a 8 inch wide wheel.

That goes back to FastOrange's question: what gears do you have now?

If you want performance a 22 isnt the way to go. I know I lost performance running a 22 on the back of mine

Why would you assume 75r15's, when he said they are on 22's? Clearly not 15...

Reread the post. I'm comparing the diameter of a 22", 30 series tire to that of the stock tire. They "should" be about the same, if he hasn't mismatched the width of the rim and tire. If that's the case, then the diameter is about the same and shouldn't affect performance. The problem is the increased mass, not a diameter increase. So back to: what gears are in it now?

350 tbi motor is in it and the gears are original i have no idea what they are. But i haven't got the gears changed. And is it normal for my truck to change from 1st to second gear at 10mph?

Look in your glove box at the RPO codes will start with a GT or GU with a number behind it.
